Home Remedies for Ear Infections and Earaches, Useful Remedies

The ear is a very sensitive organ; it is the house of one of the most important senses of the human body – the auditory sense. Due to its delicate nature, there are several problems that can occur with the human ear. One of the most common problems occurs when the ear gets infected. In severe cases, pus formation may occur. Such inflammations of the ear commonly occur in children.

Ear infections are more common in babies and younger children because the Eustachian tubes (the narrow passage way that connects the middle ear to the nose) are narrower than an adult or older child's and, therefore, is easily blocked by fluid in the ear. Ear infections are also most likely to occur during a cold.

Garlic can also be crushed and used for the earache by crushing a clove of garlic into one tsp of olive oil and then warm to blood temperature. Garlic solution should never be boiled or attempted to be put in your ear if overheated, as this could cause sever burns. Consult with your physician on any new therapies you are not familiar with.)
